Innovation & collaboration made in Waldkraiburg
From the 20th to the 21st November 2019, MD ELEKTRONIK hosted a future-oriented range of activities surrounding its extensive technological portfolio. Throughout the two days, colleagues from around the world were given the opportunity to attend technical guided tours, exhibitions, product/process training sessions and technical talks in the brand new Technology Center at the company headquarters.
“Our main objective for this event was to offer colleagues from non-technical departments the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of our innovations, hereby encouraging inter-departmental idea exchange and promoting new synergies,” explained Gerd Mittermaier, Global Vice President R&D and Organiser of the event. Although the main focus was internal, MD also welcomed the participation of trusted partner NVIDIA at the event, winning Joachim Langenwalter, Director Automotive Software at NVIDIA as a keynote speaker. “We are thrilled that Joachim made the time to join us and speak about AI for Intelligent Mobility. His talk was definitely one of the highlights of Day 1,” Gerd Mittermaier said.
“It was impressive to see all the innovations and development projects currently being worked on within the MD Group in one place. I am also proud of the high participation level of the different shows and events,” explained Matthias Borkowski, Global Vice President Production, Technology & Operations and Organiser of the event.
Further highlights included a crash course in design thinking from MD’s own Innovation Manager Dr. Sabrina Böhler as well as the premiere showing of the new image film MD ELEKTRONIK – Beyond Connections.
All the hard work paid off as colleagues and partners alike congratulated the Tech Days Team on an interesting and eye-opening event. Only by thinking outside of the box and giving everyone the opportunity to contribute can innovation thrive. This is a crucial success factor in the future of automotive engineering and a concept which MD ELEKTRONIK embraces.
